Job Description

Summary

Oversee the Sales Support Specialists/Customer Services daily activities, take an active role in growing department sales, customer service and to further penetrate and strengthen existing relationships with current accounts. Ultimately be responsible for the profitability of the department.

 

Administrative

Responsible for implementing and training of all procedures and processes for Sales Support Specialists. Standardize and monitor all procedures so that they are being implemented in the most efficient manner. Assist sales managers in the implementation of individual sales goals and performance measurements. Manage the day-to-day activities of the buying group sales department.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises employees in telesales and sales supports positions. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or at least 6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Must have a minimum of two (2) years customer service and supervisory experience.

 

Job Requirements

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Play an integral role in exploring new profit initiatives.

  • Possess the ability to effectively communicate with employees and customers on a daily basis.

  • Improve the process, accuracy and consistency of the DHPI database.

  • Ability to prepare and present meaningful management reports.

  • Product knowledge or ability to track down information on a daily basis.

  • Take a proactive role in keeping management informed of department issues.

  • Able to process orders and the understanding of how each of the buying groups are structured.

  • Overall knowledge as to how the company’s computer system works on a daily basis.

  • Prepare annual employee evaluations.

  • Work with employees on ongoing industry education, on an as needed basis.

  • Complete understanding of DHPI's goals.

  • Coach and monitor progress of Sales Support Specialist to ensure they have the systems training and resources to achieve their objectives.
